Hiring: Swine Veterinarian

Spencer Ag is seeking a full-time, multi-species veterinary associate with a swine focus to join our dedicated team. We are growing our mixed animal practice, mainly focused on swine, beef cattle, and small ruminants, located 25 minutes south of the Iowa Great Lakes in Spencer, Iowa. We serve clients in an approximately 100-mile radius.

Spencer Ag Center is multifaceted, consisting of animal health, nutrition, and veterinary services. Comprised of 30 individuals, our team spans several positions from delivery drivers, bookkeeping, purchasing, and logistics, to our sales force and veterinarians. We cultivate a positive, energetic work environment while meeting the goals necessary to care for our customer's needs.

Qualifications:

• A doctorate of Veterinary Medicine is required, with the ability to obtain Iowa and Minnesota licenses.

Equipment/Facility: 

When we moved into our new building in 2016, we had the opportunity to add a modern clean-side/ dirty-side lab and an in-house truck wash. The veterinary equipment we provide includes:

• An ultrasound machine

• Tilt table

• Hydraulic chute

• Truck with a vet box

• Technology (iPad, Laptop, Cell phone reimbursement)

• Individual office space

• Lab equipment and technical support
