Tim Christensen
Partner/Field Marketer
Tim is a partner and sales marketing manager where he assists producers and sales staff with health and nutrition programs. He is involved with providing our producers with feed formulating and technical help. Tim finds monitoring operation’s successes as the most gratifying reward of doing this job.
Tim lives on an acreage with his wife, Susan. He can be found doing anything involved with agriculture, family, church, camping, and an occasional game of golf. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Ag Extension and minors in Ag Business and Animal Science from South Dakota State University in 1992.
Greg Lear
Partner/Field Marketer
Greg is a partner in Spencer Ag Center and is a swine field marketer. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science and has over 30 years experience in hog buying, livestock breeding and work on a research farm.
He is now a field marketer involved with site management, sales and training. Greg serves on the Iowa Pork Producers board of directors and the Clay Co Swine Committee. He is also a 4-H leader. Greg and his wife, Ann, have three children, Zack, Lindsey and Tyler. He enjoys helping kids with livestock projects, raising show pigs, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, Maddie and Isaac. Greg believes that the independent livestock producer has been and will continue to be the backbone of our industry.
Dr. Grace Thompson
Veterinarian
Dr. Grace received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Grace grew up in Northwestern Illinois on a show pig operation, farrowing, showing and selling show pigs to 4H and FFA members. She became interested in beef cattle in college, where she developed her passion of pursuing a career in food animal medicine. Dr. Grace resides in Everly, IA with her corgi Hereford! Dr. Grace's interests include beef cattle reproduction & small ruminant medicine.
Dale Irmiter
General Manager
After working out of town for the past 25 years, Dale is happy to be back working in Spencer!
He spent 3 years as a Plant Manager for Daybreak Foods and 23 years as a Production Supervisor for PM Beef Group. Dale, along with his wife Ann, and 3 daughters Mariah, Hannah, and Olivia enjoy camping, fishing, band and choir concerts, dancing, basketball, softball, and volleyball!
Ryan Phillips
Clinic Manager
Ryan, his wife, Laurie and his daughter, Sarah live on a farm south of Royal. Ryan grew up farming and is still in business with his dad. He has raised sheep, swine and continues to farm row crops. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science and minored in Ag Business and Ag Marketing form South Dakota State University.
Ryan is the vet clinic manager and purchasing agent for Spencer Ag Center. He enjoys spending time with his family, farming, playing basketball, and anything Iowa Hawkeyes. He appreciates that his job offers "variety and the flexibility for farming and family time."
Tom Johnson
Showroom Manager
Tom is the front room manager and is always on the move. Tom performs inventory control, helps in the store and occasionally works cattle with the veterinarians. If you have ever called into the office, you for sure know who Tom is, and if you have ever visited the store, you know who Tom is!
Tom and his wife, Amy and their three children, enjoy music, movies, karaoke and traveling. When asked what he likes about his job, he replied, "the people I work with and the variety of duties I do each day. Plus the customers are great to work with."

Whether you are looking for a special product, need a problem solved or just want to visit, Paul can help! He has been the familiar face or voice of our store for over 15 years! Paul challenges himself by constantly finding new cooperatives to do business with and always looking for the cheapest and highest quality ingredients on the market!
Paul, his wife Kris, and daughters Chelsea and Sophie live on an acreage near Fostoria. He enjoys fishing, hunting and can usually be found building or remodeling something.

Joel Thomsen
Field Marketer
Joel grew up on a farm with a diversified livestock operation. He has worked in the agricultural industry for over 40 years including 20+ years with Spencer Ag Center as a Field Marketer. He feels the best part of his job is customer success and satisfaction. Joel has a cow-calf herd and "enjoys looking at good cattle anywhere."
His interests include college and NFL football, time with family and friends, and occasionally chasing a pheasant. Joel resides on an acreage near Cylinder with his wife, Robin and normally one or more dogs. They have one son, Lucas.
Chad Seaman

Chad comes to us with a good deal of ag experience having grown up on a farm and worked with his family's cattle operation. He is in sales and "likes talking to producers and seeing different operations."
He also assists our vets with working cattle and hogs, can be found lending a hand in the store, or helping out with deliveries. Chad and his wife, Kristy, along with their three kids, Kylee, Cowen and Carson, live on an acreage near Spencer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing sports, farming, lake time, at dance competitions or anything outdoors!

He wants to build a relationship on trust and customer service, offering feed products, medication and livestock services. Andrew is currently a delivery driver working on a sales territory for cattle.

Kyle is a fresh, local face, around the office & northwest Iowa. He grew up in Ruthven on his family owned farm. His family has raised everything, including cattle, horses, pigs, sheep & goats. He exhibited cattle in 4H & FFA growing up. Kyle drives the bag delivery truck, bulk delivery truck, helps in the warehouse & helps the vets work cattle.
Kyle enjoys seeing different farm set ups and gives him future ideas for his farm & livestock. He also enjoys getting to know all the people & customers, even though he grew up in the area!

Marcia has been our Office Manager for over 25 years! She values the many acquaintances with long time customers and the great people she gets to work with everyday. She enjoys the variety of office duties involved to better serve our customers and meet industry requirements.
Marcia and her husband, Bill, have three children, Ryan, Jill and Nathan. In her spare time, Marcia enjoys camping and spending time with her family and friends!

Roger Galbraith
Delivery/Warehouse Supervisor
Roger is a familiar face at Spencer Ag Center. He has been delivering feed and supplies for over 25 years and can direct you to almost any farmstead. He also helps in the warehouse, does maintenance and assists the vets when needed. Roger is an avid deer and turkey bow hunter and a huge NASCAR fan. He and his wife, Jeanne, have two sons, Travis and Zachary.

With over 25 years of experience delivering bulk and bag feed, Dan is well known across the countryside. He says, "I like being able to talk to farmers and look at their livestock." Dan resides in Hartley. He enjoys family time with his two girls, Amy and Brandy and his three grandsons. His interests include fishing, hunting and gardening.

Roger is a lifelong Spencer area resident who has spent most of his life farming. He and his wife, Sharon, have raised three children and now enjoy their nine grandchildren. Roger has worked for Spencer AG Center for more than 10 years in shipping, receiving and delivery.
He likes working the 4H Beef Show each year at the Clay County Fair and keeps busy attending his grandchildren's activities. He also enjoys livestock shows, PBR rodeos, tractor pulls, and truck driving. When asked the best part of his job, he replies, "the people around me that I work with every day."
